Job Description:

At Frontier, we like to think we’re creating something very special for our team members.The Director, Emergency Response is responsible for leading the company’s emergency response planning and preparedness functions, ensuring ERPs for all areas of the organization are current, conducting training sessions, drills and overseeing relationships with third-party business partners who support the company’s emergency preparedness and response.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee relationship with business partners who specialize in family assistance and support emergency response
  • Conduct department and company training sessions, tabletop and full-scale emergency response drills
  • Conduct debrief sessions after drills to ensure necessary changes are captured and documented
  • Monitor industry trends and incidents, as well as changes in regulatory policies and requirements, that may impact company’s emergency response planning
  • Hold all areas of the organization accountable for reviewing and exercising their emergency response plans
  • Represent the company at forums, strategy planning groups and emergency committees
  • Develop business continuity plans to ensure the company is prepared to respond to failure of critical business functions
  • Ensure the company’s emergency response plan, manual and checklists are routinely reviewed and updated
  • Manage emergency notification system and emergency response budget
  • Conduct drills with stations, departments, Go Team members and emergency response partners
  • Develop and maintain close working relationships with governmental agencies involved in emergency response and accident investigation. This includes the NTSB, DOT, FAA and American Red Cross

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in managing external vendor relationships
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Ability to collaborate, motivate and lead across multiple disciplines within an organization
  • Strong knowledge of emergency response planning procedures and practices, preferably within the aviation industry
  • Exceptional organization and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, collaboration, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Experience managing a departmental budget
  • Ability to effectively communicate and present to senior leadership and executive teams

Qualification & Experience:

  • 10+ years of emergency response experience required
  • Prior airline experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience required
